What we are doing to safeguard against COVID-19!

While we are following guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Florida Department of Children and Families, we are also taking additional precautions and sanitary measures within our facility. A few of our efforts include:
-
Implement social distancing strategies
-
Intensify cleaning and disinfection efforts, including devising a schedule, and focus on toys, games, and other objects and surfaces that are frequently used.
-
Modify drop-off and pick-up procedures to include thorough screening -- all individuals entering a facility
-
Maintain an adequate ratio of staff to children to ensure safety.
-
Children and child-care providers shall not change from one group to another.
-
If more than one group of children is cared for at one facility, each group shall be in a separate room and not mix or interact with each other.
ALL STAFF, PARENTS, AND CHILDREN MUST CONDUCT A DAILY HEALTH CHECK BEFORE ENTERING THE ACADEMY.
-
Should you or any household member have any of the following symptoms, we ask you to remain out that day and notify the center.
-
Fever of 100 F or higher, now or in the preceding 72 hours (or would have, but have used fever reducing medicine)
-
Cough
-
Sore Throat
-
Muscle Aches
-
Difficulty Breathing
-
New Loss of Taste or Smell
Consistent with our COVID-19 Policy, the household will be required to remain out of the center for 14 days unless medical clearance is provided by a physician indicating that the presenting symptoms are associated with a known non-COVID-19 illness. The physician’s note must not be from a family member.
